In the event of an accident involving the insured vehicle, an automatic emergency call is sent to our Allianz emergency call center via the Allianz accident reporting app. As soon as the acceleration sensors of the accident reporting plug detect a change in the driving behavior of the vehicle that is typical of an accident, this message is sent via the accident reporting app. The position of the vehicle is automatically determined by the accident reporting app. If you are driving the vehicle in an emergency, you can also manually inform our Allianz emergency call center using the accident reporting app. After the emergency message has been sent, we will try to establish a voice connection with you immediately via the smartphone connected to the system. If there is no voice connection with you, we will notify the rescue center. The rescue control center will not be informed if the information available to us speaks against the assumption of a serious accident, e.g. in the event of further movement of the vehicle after an emergency report has been made. For this purpose, we evaluate the data received from your vehicle at the moment of the accident and in the immediate temporal context. You can also manually inform the Allianz emergency call center via your accident reporting app in the event of an accident or breakdown without the need for rescue workers. This will then initiate further measures within the framework of the existing insurance contract with you. From now on you can also send the most important data (e.g. location of your vehicle) abroad (EU as well as Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Albania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro and Serbia) e.g. trigger a breakdown at the push of a button in the app.
Note: Continued use of the GPS feature in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
